After a couple of months of settling in, all have got used to our new offices and are enjoying our spacious, light new workplace, which is also enabling us to run things even more efficiently.

Ms Ines Christ began as a trainee on August 1, 2008 after completing a three-month internship here at Rheo Service and will qualify as an Administrative Assistant.
As a qualified Commercial Correspondent in English and French, she is well-equipped to complement and support our team, particularly in our dealings with France. Her friendly, unruffled manner quickly earned her a place on the Rheo Service team.

Sadly for us, Ms Jacquetta Löbig left the team of her own accord on July 31, 2008, a loss much regretted by all. Ms Löbig wishes to devote herself to other tasks and challenges, and took the opportunity which came up to move to the teaching world, where her linguistic skills will be used to the full. We thank her again for her work and wish her all the very best for the future.

All in all, we can say that while the year was marked by changes, it was just as successful as the previous one. Our business in used instruments recorded a rise of 70 % in comparison with the previous year. With continuing stability in our sales figures, we are looking to the future with optimism.

Oh yes - and once again, we finished up the year with a very special kind of Christmas celebration: the Rheo Service team spent a weekend in Berlin. After arriving by train with the Deutsche Bahn, we checked into our hotel on Alexanderplatz and then in the evening, went to a restaurant called the "Fuenf-Ländereck" for a fantastic Christmas buffet. The wining, dining and chatting went on until well into the small hours! The next day, we explored the city, shopped and visited a Christmas market. In the evening, it was show time on the programme, with a visit to the Friedrichstadtpalast. There was really something for everyone at “Qi”, the revue we saw, then on Sunday, time to set off for home again. Filled with these impressions, and buoyed up by the company's strong team spirit, we are off to a flying start in 2009!

We shouldn't forget to mention that we underwent another official inspection ("TÜV") for ISO certification in October and were once again certified. The new certification was granted for the next three years as before, though of course checked yearly.
